Common materials for color box packaging

　　 1. Coated paper:

　　 coated paper, also known as printed coated paper, is made by coating a layer of white wax paper on the base paper. The paper has a smooth surface, high whiteness, low elasticity, good ink absorption and ink acceptance. Mainly used for printing book covers and illustrations, color pictures, various exquisite product advertisements, samples, product packaging, trademarks, etc. Matte coated paper has worse reflectance than coated paper. The patterns printed with it are not as bright as coated paper, but more delicate than coated paper. The printed graphics and pictures have a three-dimensional effect, so this type of coated paper can be widely used for printing pictorials, advertisements, landscape paintings, exquisite wall calendars, characters, etc.

　　2. Paper jam:

　　 cardboard is an ideal material for making exquisite color box packaging. Its good hand feel, ideal color and dot transfer conditions, hardness and surface strength are all the reasons for the designer's choice. According to different color box packaging requirements, designers can choose various cardboard designs.

　　 (1) White cardboard White cardboard is characterized by high whiteness, soft gloss, beautiful appearance, good dot transfer during printing, high level and color recovery, and delicate hand feeling. Designers often use white cardboard in gift boxes, cosmetic boxes, wine boxes and other high-quality packaging products.

　　(2) Glass paperboard Glass paperboard is a kind of paperboard made by vitrifying the surface of white paperboard. The surface gloss of this paper is high, the hand feels smooth, and the visual effect is higher than that of UV-polished cardboard and coated paper. The product made of this cardboard is very transparent and eye-catching. Designers often use color box packaging made of glass cardboard to pack medicines and cosmetics boxes.

　　3. Cardboard:

　　 paperboard is a kind of paper with a layered structure. Its basis weight is 220 grams/square meter, 240 grams/square meter, 250 grams/square meter...400 grams/square meter, 450 grams/square meter. There are many kinds of it, and you can choose from various materials packed in color boxes. This paper has a certain degree of stiffness and surface strength, especially the color whiteboard paper has a surface coating, so the ink is not easy to penetrate, the amount is small, and the color and dots of the printed image are transferred well. But the disadvantage is poor flatness and slow printing speed. Another disadvantage is that it feels significantly rougher than cardboard.
